Honey Bee Hives

Sustainable & Sweet

Experience the sweetness of our on-site honey.

If you’re in the mood for something sweet, discover our natural, on-site honey at Millcroft Inn & Spa. In partnership with Toronto Bee Rescue and Ontario Honey Creations, we’ve introduced 24 hives to our grounds, where our bees produce approximately 2,400 pounds of sustainably sourced honey each year. Featured in our restaurant dishes and spa treatments, our honey is also available for purchase, so you can take a taste of Caledon home with you.

Our Honey

The colour and flavour of our sustainably produced honey vary with the seasons, reflecting the changing nectar sources available to our bees. Left raw and unpasteurized, it retains its natural character and health benefits. Millcroft honey is available for purchase at the front desk and spa reception, making it a thoughtful gift or a sweet reminder of your stay.

Small $9.95 | Large $14.95

Spring Blossom Honey

Lighter in flavour and colour, Spring Blossom honey comes from early season flowers like crocuses, dandelions and tree blossoms like maple, apple, pear and cherry.

Summer Blossom Honey

Closest in taste to traditional Ontario honey, the source for Summer Blossom is mainly clover and offers a unique flavour from the mix of flowers on the Millcroft grounds.

Fall Blossom Honey

Darker and stronger in flavour, rich Fall Blossom honey is produced mainly from goldenrod and asters growing around the property.

Meet Our Beekeeper

A third-generation beekeeper, Peter Chorabik and his wife Sarah started beekeeping in 2012 through their organization, Toronto Bee Rescue. Their knowledge and passion for honey bees inspired their move from Toronto to the family farm, allowing them to focus on beekeeping in Caledon.
