What makes Millcroft Inn & Spa different from the Niagara Vintage Hotels properties?
Millcroft Inn & Spa is the only Vintage Hotels property located outside the Niagara region, set in the Caledon Hills approximately one hour northwest of Toronto. While Prince of Wales, Queen’s Landing, Pillar and Post, Inn On The Twenty and Moffat Inn are all situated in or near Niagara-on-the-Lake wine country, Millcroft offers a distinct countryside setting defined by protected forest, Shaw’s Creek Falls and Ontario’s Niagara Escarpment. It is also the only Vintage Hotels property with outdoor hot spring pools and contrast hydrotherapy, on-property maple syrup and honey production and accommodation in a converted 19th-century heritage mill building. Millcroft is the natural choice for Toronto-area guests seeking a countryside spa retreat rather than a wine country destination.
-
What room types are available at Millcroft Inn & Spa?
Millcroft Inn & Spa offers accommodations across three distinct buildings on the 100-acre property. The Main Mill rooms are located in the original 1881 heritage stone mill building, with views of the Mill Pond and Shaw’s Creek Falls, and include features such as king-sized beds and heated towel warmers. The Manor House features spacious rooms in the original country mansion, some with private verandas overlooking the grounds. The Crofts are self-contained chalet-style units with private patios or hot tubs, set among the wooded gardens. All rooms across all three buildings are decorated with European and Canadian antiques and include Nespresso machines, flat-screen TVs and evening turndown service.

Is Millcroft Inn & Spa a good choice for a romantic getaway?
Yes. Millcroft Inn & Spa is consistently rated among Ontario’s top romantic retreats, combining a heritage countryside setting, outdoor hot spring pools, couples’ spa treatments and fine dining at Headwaters Restaurant. The Crofts accommodation units are particularly popular for romantic stays. The Nordic Lagoon Bath Ritual and private hydrotherapy experiences at the Millcroft Spa are designed for two guests. The property’s 100-acre forested setting, walks along Shaw’s Creek and proximity to the Niagara Escarpment add a scenic dimension that distinguishes a Millcroft stay from an urban or wine country hotel experience.
