Vintage – Parks Canada Skating Rink

Vintage Hotels in Partnership with Parks Canada
Open until March 31, 2019

Located at Fort George National Historic Site, this public outdoor rink is the coolest place to be in Niagara-on-the-Lake!

Admission to the rink is free and skate rentals are offered for $5 alongside a concession stand for hot cocoa and small snacks.

Check Fort George National Historic Site's Facebook page for updates on the ice condition, rink closures, special holiday hours, and additional special events that might be going on this season.

Parks Canada and Vintage Hotels will be hosting special events throughout the open months.

Skating Rink Rules

Before heading to the rink, please review the full list of rink rules. These rules will be strictly enforced. Skate aids or pushes are permitted on the ice surface, but please bring your own as they will not be provided and the rink does not have boards to grasp onto. Please ensure all children under 12 have a helmet while on the ice. If they do not they may be asked to leave. Helmets are provided for free on Friday (5 pm to 9 pm), Saturday (10 am to 9 pm), and Sunday (10 am to 5 pm) only.

 

Concessions, Skate and Helmet Rentals

On Friday (5 pm to 9 pm), Saturday (10 am to 9 pm), and Sunday (10 am to 5 pm), Vintage Hotels will be offering concessions, skate rentals and helmets. Skate rentals include size 7 girls and 11 boys to size 12 adult.

Directions from Great Toronto Area via Highway 55
  • Take Queen Elizabeth Way/QEW to Dunkirk Rd in St. Catharines. Take the exit toward Regional Road 77/Welland Avenue from Queen Elizabeth Way/QEW
  • Continue on Dunkirk Rd. Take Niagara Stone Rd/Regional Rd 55 and East and West Line to Queen's Parade in Niagara-on-the-Lake
  • Merge onto Dunkirk Rd
  • Merge onto Dunkirk Rd
  • Turn right onto Cushman Rd
  • Turn left onto Niagara Stone Rd/Regional Rd 55 (signs for County Highway 55/Niagara Stone Road)
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Niagara Stone Rd/Regional Rd 55
  • Turn right onto East and West Line (signs for Regional Road 85)
  • Turn left onto Niagara Pkwy
  • Continue onto Queen's Parade
  • Destination will be on the left
Directions from Great Toronto Area via Niagara Parkway
  • Take Queen Elizabeth Way/QEW to Stanley Ave/Regional Rd 102 in Niagara Falls. Take the Stanley Avenue/Regional Road 102 exit from General Brock Pkwy/ON-405
  • Merge onto ON-403 E
  • Use the middle lane to take the Fairview Street/Plains Road/QEW exit toward Niagara
  • Merge onto Dunkirk Rd
  • Keep left, follow signs for Queen Elizabeth Way/Niagara and merge onto Queen Elizabeth Way/QEW
  • Keep left at the fork to continue on General Brock Pkwy/ON-405, follow signs for Queenston Lewiston U.S.A
  • Take Niagara Pkwy to Queen's Parade in Niagara-on-the-Lake
  • Turn left onto Stanley Ave/Regional Rd 102 (signs for Niagara Pkwy/Niagara-on-the-Lake)
  • Continue straight onto Portage Rd/Regional Rd 61 (signs for Portage Road/Queenston/Niagara on the Lake/Niagara Parkway)
  • At the roundabout, continue straight onto Niagara Pkwy
  • Continue onto Queen's Parade
  • Destination will be on the left
Directions from Niagara Falls via Niagara Parkway
  • Take Niagara Pkwy North towards Niagara-on-the-Lake
  • Continue straight onto Niagara Pkwy
  • Continue onto Queen's Parade
