The Bridge
Modelled after Monet’s Japanese bridge, this lovely bridge over the pond is an excellent vantage point for admiring colorful flowers and lush greenery. It’s a serene spot that’s a favourite for photos. Spot the growing Koi fish, breathe in the fresh summer air, and appreciate the natural beauty around you.
The Pond
During the spring and early summer, you’ll find an explosion of colour from our vibrant peonies in full bloom as they adorn the metal obelisks around the pond. Dotted around the pond, you’ll find colourful daylilies and irises and their fresh floral scent accompanying them. While standing on the bridge, look in the pond to see the lily pads blooming in the early summer in magnificent pink, orange and yellow.
The Rose Garden
Stop and smell the roses with us this summer in La Roserie, our fabulous rose garden. Home to dozens of fresh rose bushes, along with the finest selection of trees, shrubs, and other florals, it’s perfect for a relaxing stroll (not to mention a prime selfie spot).
This enchanting space is also available for spectacular spring and summer weddings. After all, there’s nothing more romantic than saying “I do” among the blossoming roses.
The Promenade
Walk under the arches of The Promenade to experience picturesque beauty of The Gardens. Along this walk, you’ll spot Mild Sun Gladiolus, Nasturtiums, and different varieties of roses growing and climbing over the iconic arches.
The Barn
Lovingly constructed from reclaimed wood, the Barn is a bright, airy event space with rustic charm. You’ll love its authentic barn door, large windows, and how it reminds one of simpler times. Blending old-school style with modern amenities, the Barn is one of our favourite features of The Gardens for its stunning exterior as much as its spacious, homey interior. Here, you can stop and sit and take in the beauty of the Monet-inspired gardens.
The OutPost
After you’ve worked up an appetite exploring The Gardens at Pillar and Post, stop by The OutPost—our year-round outdoor café. You’ll love our signature sandwiches and snacks like our Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich, Italian melt, seasonal treats, and craft cocktails. Nothing says summer like an ice-cold beer on the lawn! Kid-friendly options include our Apple Spritzer, an alcohol-free mocktail that will delight kids of all ages.
While enjoying your drink, stroll around our open lawn area and enjoy the fragrant blooms of some of our favourite summer flowers, often seen in pots around The Gardens, like pansies, begonias, and geraniums.
