Niagara-on-the-Lake came alive this May as the first-ever Niagara-on-the-Lake In Bloom Festival welcomed guests to a four-day celebration of flowers, flavours, and festivity. Presented by Vintage Hotels in collaboration with the Tourism Partnership of Niagara, the festival transformed the historic Old Town and surrounding locations into a stunning springtime escape.
From May 9 to 12, 2025, guests were treated to vibrant floral displays, immersive culinary experiences, and charming events that captured the spirit of the season.

Over 20 breathtaking floral installations adorned the streets of Old Town, stopping guests in their tracks with artistry inspired by food, drink, and spring’s finest offerings. From a towering teapot and cup to whimsical sushi platters, Niagara grapes, and even a blooming martini glass, each piece was a tribute to the beauty and creativity of the region’s florists.

A Playful Start to the Weekend at the Bonnet Luncheon
The festival bloomed into action at the Bonnet Luncheon—an elegant and joy-filled opening celebration held on the Monet Garden Barn Patio. Guests sipped bubbly, enjoyed live violin music by the talented Liam Calhoun, and were warmly welcomed by beloved gardening expert Frankie Flowers.
Floral fashion took center stage as attendees donned their most fabulous bonnets and joined a lively parade at noon, complete with a charming garden-chic photo station to capture the moment.
Following the fanfare, guests were treated to a delicious three-course Blossom Luncheon at the Barn at Pillar and Post. Featuring locally inspired dishes and expertly paired wines from Niagara’s vineyard partners, this exclusive event offered a perfect taste of spring indulgence.

Garden Fair Fun and Floral Finds
Held at the Pillar and Post Gardens, the Garden Fair invited guests to browse boutique vendors, attend expert talks, and sample gourmet bites and beverages under the spring sunshine. Gardening demonstrations drew curious minds, while local artisans and florists engaged visitors with thoughtful and beautifully crafted offerings.

A Gala Dinner That Celebrated Creativity and Cuisine
Hosted by gardening expert and media personality Frankie Flowers, the Gala Dinner at the Imperial Ballroom in Queens Landing was a true highlight of the festival. Guests enjoyed a multi-course floral-inspired menu with local wine pairings; all set in a beautifully decorated space that brought the garden indoors.
Frankie brought warmth, humor, and insight throughout the evening, as guests dined and celebrated the artistry of florists and chefs working together to create a feast for the senses.
