Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON –The holiday season is not only a time for celebrating, but more importantly, a time for sharing. Throughout November and December, Vintage Hotels continues to honour its commitment to bettering the community and helping local families experience a truly joyful holiday season with the annual ‘Tree of Hope’ toy drive in support of local charities.
This year all of the Vintage Hotels properties, excluding the Moffat Inn, will be participating in the ‘Tree of Hope’ campaign. Each property has chosen a local charity to collect donations for. Trees will be filled with names of children in the community who otherwise may not receive a gift on Christmas morning. For those who are able to give a little more during the holidays, an unwrapped gift can be purchased for one of the names displayed on the tree.
Local women’s shelter, Gillian’s Place is the recipient of the ‘Tree of Hope’ campaign at Queen’s Landing. Gillian’s Place offers hope to women and children by providing safety and support through a range of services and by working through effective partnerships with our community to end violence and abuse.
Canada’s leading child and youth mentoring charity, Big Brothers Big Sisters will benefit from the strong efforts put forth by the team at Prince of Wales and Inn on the Twenty. Big Brothers Big Sisters facilitates life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach their full potential, both as individuals and citizens.
Pillar and Post is honoured to work with Project SHARE this year to sponsor families living in poverty in the Niagara Falls community. Project SHARE’s mission is to address the short-term need for food and create long-term solutions for food security, mobilizing resources in our community, and adapting services to respond to changes around us. Pillar and Post will be accepting both gifts and donations that will go toward providing a hearty Christmas meal for each of the sponsored families.
The Orangeville Food Bank is dedicated to relieving hunger in their community. Millcroft Inn & Spa will be partnering with the Orangeville Food Bank, visitors, staff and guests of the Inn are encouraged to partake and help make a difference this holiday season by remembering those in our community that need a little extra help.
The Parlour Inn’s efforts will go toward the women and children residing at Optimism Place. Optimism Place is Perth County’s only women’s shelter. Since 1983, it has been a safe refuge for women and children experiencing domestic abuse.
Vintage Hotels’ staff and supporters will continue working hard to ensure that each child has a gift to open on Christmas morning. It is through the generosity and support of the community that we are able to make this possible year after year.
