Vintage Hotels Wine Trolley Tour Itinerary
Our Wine Trolley Tour leaves once daily from one of our three participating hotels, which include Pillar and Post, Prince of Wales, and Queen’s Landing. From there, we’ll continue to four of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s most popular wineries, where guests can sample award-winning wines, enjoy expert-led tastings, and explore scenic vineyards. This 4.5-hour signature wine tour will allow to learn about VQA wines, local grape varietals, and the region’s winemaking heritage.
Enjoy a Guided Wine Tasting at Bella Terra Vineyards
To start your wine tour, the Vintage Hotels wine trolley will stop at Bella Terra Vineyards, a 50-acre estate with three generations of grape growing and winemaking experience. Here, you will enjoy a guided tasting of a selection of 3 wines paired with “Jar-cuterie,” while learning about the history of the estate, and how it has become well-known for creating rich Cabernets and elegant white wines. Sip your way through your flight while savouring the views of lush landscape that is Four Mile Creek.
Find Premium Wines at The Hare Wine Co.
Continuing your tour, the trolley will stop at The Hare’s historic estate, where they’ve been perfecting the winemaking process for over a hundred years. Enjoy a selection of four premium wines, paired with a charcuterie board loaded with locally sourced artisanal meats, cheeses and crostinis. You’ll start with a Crown Land Sparkling, a blend of Riesling & Muscat, that will cleanse your palate for the flavours ahead. Then, you’ll jump into the light crispness of their Frontier Pinot Grigio, before moving on to their refreshing Frontier Dry Riesling. If you’re craving a robust red, your tasting will conclude with a smooth glass of their Crown Land Cabernet Franc with the locally sourced Cacciatorino Salami or Thornloe Aged Cheddar.
