Team Member: Jason Hoadley
Position: Bellperson
Employee Since: March 1997

Jason's Comments: I like the money and the benefits package. My job comes natural to me because I like helping people. We are all about service, pampering guests and they come back because of our employees. Our team is great here with lots of teamwork. I enjoy the events which are always something to look forward to and it shows you’re appreciated. I like the surroundings; the town and hotels are beautiful and Niagara-on-the-Lake is peaceful.

corina_t.jpg Team Member: Corina Warkentin
Position: Executive Housekeeper
Employee Since: June 1997

Corina's Comments: I enjoy the challenges of my position and the opportunities to grow and learn. We are given all of the tools with training and educational assistance and we just need to take advantage of them. The team atmosphere is great and I feel respected and encouraged. I started as a Laundry Attendant with Vintage Hotels 11 years ago and with determination and great Mentors, I worked my way up. I owe my success to our Managers who gave me the opportunity, encouragement and support.

corey_t.jpg Team Member: Corey Stirrett
Position: Front Office Manager & Chef Concierge
Employee Since: June 2000

Corey's Comments:There are many great benefits the company provides such as the RRSP program, health care, dental benefits and our profit sharing program. I feel supported by upper management in the decisions that I make and in terms of my professional growth in Les Clefs d'Or. I enjoy interacting with our guests and managing their experience here with us. We have a great team both in the front office and in each department that work together to deliver individualized exceptional experiences. I have had the opportunity to work in various positions in the front office including Bellperson, Concierge and Assistant Front Office Manager and in the 8 years I have been here I have now reached my goal to become the Front Office Manager and Chef Concierge.

andrew_t.jpg Team Member: Chef Andrew Dymond
Position: Executive Chef
Employee Since: May 1993

Andrew's Comments: Vintage Hotels gives me a lot of opportunities and exposed me to industry knowledge. I've been given the tools to develop management skills, and I get to use these skills as a manager at Vintage Hotels. The Niagara area has become more of a destination and it has been nice to experience and grow with all of the new wineries and changes to the area. I enjoy working at Vintage Hotels because of the autonomy and the complete creative freedom for styles and ideas in a non-restricting environment. I have been able to work for one company and having been the Executive Chef at 3 properties within the company. The environment I have worked in has enabled me to develop as a Chef and this has greatly to do with the mentors I met along the way. Having worked in various kitchen positions I would encourage anyone looking at a position in the culinary industry to be persistent, learn from as many people as you can, ask questions, work hard be responsible and to truly be passionate about food and beverage.

rudy_t.jpg Team Member: Rudy Co
Position:
Server
Employee Since: June 1983

Rudy's Comments: I enjoy the money, the benefits, the team I work with and our guests. Our guests are different – they come to celebrate special occasions and we offer great service, exceptional food and an inviting atmosphere. I work with a team that has been with me for a minimum of 10 years and we are like a family.
michelle_t.jpg Team Member: Michelle Miller
Position: General Manager
Employee Since: January 1990

Michelle's Comments: We have a great working environment from the dynamics of our guests to the team we work with. I enjoy my role as the General Manager of the Prince of Wales, and it is important for me to know the role of each team member to understand how each activity can positively impact our guests. The entire team demonstrates pride in the environment and in turn, this is reflected in the interactions with our guests. My length of service is a direct reflection of Vintage Hotels’ ability to provide growth, training and succession opportunities. As a company we treat our team with great respect and we are able to provide the additional privileges not extended in other work environments.

kim_t.jpg Team Member: Kim Feletar
Position: Pastry Chef
Employee Since
: April 2003

Kim's Comments: In my position I have a lot of freedom to learn new things and Chef encourages us to experiment. I like the inter-property communication – I have colleagues to talk to and to share recipes and ideas with. I have learned hands on through various positions as a Kitchen Prep, Apprentice Cook and in my present position as a Pastry Chef. My approach to teaching new team members in the bake shop is hands on, and it is fulfilling to be able to help others develop and grow. In terms of advice, I would say that any experience you can get helps. The benefits and pay are good, and I enjoy having the opportunity to participate in extra curricular activities and community events.
