The Pillar and Post epitomizes down-to-earth sophistication. Its Cannery Restaurant has a wine list that is both dynamic and creative, combining famous names with lesser-known, but equally fabulous, labels.
Vintage Hotels sommeliers understand the art of pairing wine with food, specifically with the cuisine of a particular chef. We recommend pairing include Chef Randy Dupuis' prawns in garlic and lemon with sauvignon blanc, apple chowder soup with viognier, prime rib with meritage, baked salmon and roasted garlic with chardonnay, and Niagara fruit compote with a Late Harvest dessert wine.
Cannery Restaurant has been awarded the 2008 VQA Award. Given by the Wine Council of Ontario, this award recognizes restaurants who are embracing Ontario's VQA wines.
Pillar and Post was honoured with Wine Spectator Magazine's Award of Excellence in 2007 for its revered wine list.
